Ivanka Trump will be compelled to testify in the ongoing civil fraud trial alongside her brothers and their father, former President Donald Trump, unless she wins an appeal, according to a state judge's decision.
New York State court Judge Arthur Engoron ruled on Friday that Ivanka Trump must respond to a subpoena, even though she was removed from the case earlier in the year. The judge cited Ivanka's business involvement in New York as the basis for his decision, emphasizing that she still maintains ties to Trump-related businesses implicated in the case.
This ruling paves the way for a week of Trump family testimonies, with Donald Trump, Jr., scheduled to testify on Wednesday and Eric Trump on Thursday. Ivanka Trump's testimony is currently scheduled for Friday, November 3, pending potential appeals by her legal team.
Donald Trump himself is set to testify on November 6.

While Ivanka Trump's testimony is initially scheduled for November 3, her lawyers may choose to appeal the judge's decision.
An appeals court had previously dismissed Ivanka Trump as a defendant in June, citing claims against her as exceeding the statute of limitations. Most of the trial focuses on determining damages for Trump and his family members in response to a lawsuit brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James.
The judge has already found Donald Trump liable for inflating asset values to secure favorable bank loans.
During a hearing, Trump's attorney, Christopher Kise, criticized the subpoena against Ivanka, characterizing it as an attempt by the attorney general to initiate "another free-for-all on another of President Trump's children."
In court documents, the attorney general's office argued that Ivanka remains a significant part of Trump's business empire. Trump, who is considering another presidential run in 2024, has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and labeled the trial as politically motivated.
