Lainey Wilson's Triumphant Return to Syracuse Following Record-Breaking NYS Fair Concert
The sensational country artist Lainey Wilson is making a triumphant return to Syracuse, marking a significant moment in her impressive career. After shattering records with the largest crowd in New York State Fair concert history, Lainey Wilson is set to headline a show at the newly renamed Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview on June 21, 2024.
Special guests Ian Munsick and Zach Top will open the much-anticipated show, scheduled to commence at 7 p.m. Tickets for this remarkable event go on sale starting Friday, October 27, at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Fans can also avail themselves of presale tickets, which will be accessible beginning on Monday.
Lainey Wilson's previous performance at the New York State Fair was nothing short of historic, as she drew an astounding estimated crowd of 53,200 enthusiastic fans. This remarkable achievement shattered the previous record held by Nelly in 2022, with a crowd of 43,000. Even more impressively, it established a new record for the largest concert audience in Syracuse's storied history, eclipsing The Who's 47,319-strong attendance at the Carrier Dome (now known as JMA Wireless Dome) in 1982.
It is worth noting that the capacity of the Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview is officially limited to 17,500 attendees. This upcoming concert marks the second addition to the 2024 season lineup; another notable country artist, Jordan Davis, will be performing on July 18.

Lainey Wilson's meteoric rise is exemplified by her impressive career milestones. In addition to her remarkable performance in Syracuse, she opened for Morgan Wallen at the same amphitheater last year. She has also received accolades with ACM and CMA awards, made appearances on the popular TV series "Yellowstone," featured her song "Heart Like a Truck" in a Dodge Ram commercial, and achieved sold-out concerts, including a memorable performance at Keg's Canalside in Jordan this past February. Furthermore, Lainey Wilson became the first artist in Country Music Association history to top the nominations list in her first two ballot appearances, joining the ranks of Merle Haggard, Alan Jackson, and Miranda Lambert as one of the few artists to secure nine or more nominations in a single year.
