Hip-hop icon Sean "Diddy" Combs and former girlfriend, R&B artist Cassandra Ventura, reached a settlement on Friday regarding her lawsuit, which accused the rapper of consistent physical abuse, sexual exploitation, and rape, according to Ventura's legal representatives.

Details of the settlement were not disclosed.

In a joint statement alongside Combs, Ventura expressed her decision to resolve the matter amicably, emphasizing her pursuit of some degree of control over the resolution. Combs added, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best."

Ventura, known by her stage name Cassie, filed the lawsuit in federal court on Thursday. Allegations included claims that Combs compelled her to engage in sexual activities with hired male individuals while being filmed for his personal gratification.

The lawsuit, lodged in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, further alleged a pattern of physical assault by Combs throughout their ten-year relationship, wherein he exerted control through intimidation and substance abuse.

Ventura, aged 37, accused Combs of rape towards the conclusion of their relationship in 2018 when she contemplated leaving him.

Combs vehemently denied all allegations.

Ben Brafman, Combs' lawyer, characterized Ventura's lawsuit as filled with unfounded and extreme falsehoods, positing that she sought $30 million through a failed blackmail attempt by threatening to publicize a detrimental book about their relationship.

Combs, aged 54 and the founder of Bad Boy Records, remains a significant figure in hip-hop, renowned as a producer, executive, and the driving force behind the Sean John clothing line.

According to the lawsuit's details, Ventura, aged 19 at the time, met Combs in late 2005, subsequently signing a 10-album recording deal with Bad Boy Records and later commencing a romantic relationship with him.
