Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated second season of "Reacher," along with the release of the season's first trailer. Season 2 of "Reacher" is set to debut on December 15, with the first three episodes becoming available on that date. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, every Friday, until January 19, 2024.

The upcoming season, based on Lee Child's 11th book, "Bad Luck and Trouble," takes viewers on an intense journey. It begins with Jack Reacher, portrayed by Alan Ritchson, receiving a mysterious coded message about the brutal murders of his former U.S. Army unit members, who belonged to the 110th MP Special Investigations. Forced to leave behind his drifting lifestyle, Reacher teams up with his former comrades, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), and David O'Donnell (Shaun Sipos). Together, they unravel a complex mystery, facing escalating dangers and questioning the loyalty of those around them.

The cast also features Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M., a secretive mercenary; Robert Patrick as Shane Langston, the head of security for a dubious defense contractor; and Domenick Lombardozzi as Guy Russo, a rugged NYPD detective.

Nick Santora is the series developer, executive producer, and showrunner. Lee Child serves as an executive producer alongside Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, and Adam Higgs. Additional executive producers include David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television. The series is a collaborative production of Amazon Studios, Skydance, and Paramount Television Studios.

The first season of "Reacher" enjoyed immense success upon its release in February 2022, becoming Amazon's first series to top the Nielsen streaming rankings. The show quickly garnered a global following, making it one of the most-watched original seasons in the U.S. and worldwide on Prime Video. Viewers who want to catch up can stream the first season on Prime Video now.
